At Ground Control Owings Mills, The health and well-being of our members, coaches, and community is our top priority. We understand the concern and uncertainty you may be experiencing surrounding the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and we are committed to being responsive to your needs as the situation evolves.
According to the CDC, Covid-19 spreads through respiratory droplets produced when an infected person coughs or sneezes. With that said, high touch areas can increase potential transmission. Below are some steps we are taking to help protect you.
What We Are Doing...
We have significantly increased our daily cleaning routine to include a thorough deep cleaning of high touch areas between classes. This includes mats, doorknobs, equipment, faucets, benches and iPads.
We have made hand sanitizer available for use. Please note there have been supply issues, but we are doing our best to continue to replenish stocks.
What We Are Asking You To Do...
Please wash your hands regularly for 20 seconds using soap and warm water. We will ask all our members to arrive at the gym 5 minutes early and wash their hands prior to the class beginning. Our trainers will be asking and enforcing this requirement.
If you are feeling sick, please stay home for the duration of your illness. We want you to feel better and also want to ensure the community stays healthy.
Avoid touching your face. The most common transmission method is touching a surface with the virus and then touching your face.
Please wipe all the equipment after use.
We hope this will all pass quickly and without any major effects. Please be vigilant of your habits and stay safe!
We are taking every precaution possible to ensure that we minimize the risk.
What To Expect Moving Forward...
As always, the health and safety of our community is of paramount concern.
As of today, March 13, 2020, all scheduled classes will continue as planned. We are closely monitoring developments from The Maryland Administrations Covid-19 response network and have included links to provide more information as this situation continues to unfold.
